We exist because quality financial education
should not be a luxury.
The premise
Each year, more than five lakh Indians attempt NISM examinations. Tens of thousands more sit for CFA, CFP, AMFI, and IRDAI certifications. The vast majority of these aspirants are first-generation professionals from tier-2 and tier-3 cities — places where good coaching does not exist and where ₹40,000–₹80,000 per course is not financially feasible.
The official syllabi are dry and English-only. Premium coaching is metro-locked and expensive. YouTube is fragmented and unstructured. Until now, there was no single, free, structured pathway in between.
What we are building
Trustner Academy is our attempt to close that gap. Specifically, we are building the open, structured, free home for every Indian who wants to understand money — from a Class 9 student grasping compounding for the first time, to a working professional preparing for CFA Level 3.
The platform spans four layers, each deeper than the last:
- Financial Literacy — money basics, banking, taxation, fraud-detection, insurance hygiene. Free forever.
- NISM Certification Tracks — the entry path into the financial services industry, taught for understanding rather than rote memorisation.
- Industry Domain Mastery — practitioner-grade coverage of mutual funds, equity, fixed income, taxation, retirement, and behavioural finance.
- Professional Certifications — full coverage of CFP (FPSB India) and CFA Levels 1–3.
How we teach
Most edtech in India focuses on content delivery. We focus on learning science. Six pillars are non-negotiable in everything we ship:
- Spaced repetition on every learning objective
- An infinite, AI-generated practice question bank calibrated to your weak spots
- A vernacular AI tutor that explains in Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, or Gujarati
- Indian-context decision theatres — real Indian market events replayed as choices, not hypotheticals
- Practitioner faculty — working MFDs, sub-brokers, CFAs, and CFPs (Phase 3+)
- Mock-exam simulation with post-mortem analytics and adaptive remedial study plans
Why free
Trustner Academy is positioned as a CSR-spirited initiative of the Trustner Group. The foundational and certification-preparation tiers are free and will remain free. In future phases we may introduce optional premium offerings — focused on personalised mentorship, advanced cohorts, and exam-pass guarantees — alongside a need-based scholarship pool funded from CSR. Free will always stay free.
The wall between education and commerce
Trustner Group runs commercial businesses — insurance broking, asset advisory, mutual fund distribution. These operate separately from the Academy. The Academy will never:
- recommend a specific stock, fund, or insurance product
- place "buy now" CTAs inside lessons
- route advisory queries to commercial sales channels
- name current-day securities in teaching examples
The Academy is editorially independent. Period.
Who runs it
Trustner Academy is currently operated by Trustner Insurance Brokers Pvt. Ltd., with registered office at Sethi Trust, Guwahati, Assam, India. A separate corporate entity — Trustner Academy Pvt. Ltd. — is being incorporated; once ready, it will become the operating entity and the brand stewards.
The Trustner Group has been working in the Indian financial services industry for many years. The Group's commercial activities run through two regulated entities, both of which operate independently of the Academy's editorial work:
- Trustner Insurance Brokers Pvt. Ltd. (TIB) — an IRDAI-licensed insurance broker. TIB is also the interim operating entity for the Academy until Trustner Academy Pvt. Ltd. is incorporated.
- Trustner Asset Services Pvt. Ltd. (TAS) — an AMFI-registered Mutual Fund Distributor, a SEBI-regulated Specialised Investment Fund (SIF) participant, and an APMI-registered Portfolio Manager.
The Group also operates digital platforms including Mera SIPOnline for SIP transactions. We bring our practitioner network — agents, brokers, CFAs, CFPs, CAs working in these entities — into the Academy as faculty and editorial reviewers, while keeping a hard firewall between the educational content (this platform) and the commercial activities (TIB, TAS, Mera SIPOnline).
How to support this
We are at the very beginning. The most useful thing you can do is:
- Use the platform and tell us what is unclear.
- Bring a friend, especially someone who can't afford coaching.
- If you are a working CFA / CFP / CA / financial professional, get in touch about contributing — we are always looking for practitioner faculty.
Email us at wecare@trustner.in. We read everything.
